SARA, THE PINEAPPLE CAT'S ALPHABET BOOK

Stories by Sara, the Pineapple Cat
As told to Cecil Witherspoon

Sara, the Pineapple Cat is one of the most famous cats in the world (or so she thinks) because people write books about her. There have been four so far and there are many more books to come. But Sara wanted to write her own book. She wanted to write about herself, of course. She is a cat, after all. But she also wanted it to be educational. The result is "Sara, the Pineapple Cat's Alphabet Book."

Cherokee Wyatt (author) spent her early childhood in the mountains of Eastern Tennessee, in true "hillbilly" style - without electricity, indoor plumbing, telephones, or television. "I began writing Margaret's stories (http://www.margaretmouse.com/) as a reflection of my own childhood, which I remember with great fondness. I've created stories that are filled with fun and imaginative characters; some with differences in race, color, and physical abilities. A simple moral thought at the end allows children to think about choices and what might happen as a result of those choices. My wish is that each and every child who reads my books will have a better understanding of themselves, others, and the world around them."

Toto Winarno (illustrator) was born on June 27, 1969, in Indonesia. A lifelong interest in illustrating and painting led Toto to the Faculty of Art and Design at The Institut Technologi Bandung. Since 1997, he has worked as a freelance illustrator, artist, and comic book artist. Toto has a worldwide client base. Toto now lives in the beautiful little village of Gaten, Bantul, Indonesia, with his wife, Betty, and their son, Aaron.
